Hunt Follow

Module: Hunt Follow

Follows a player — your party leader, or anyone you choose by name — a few squares behind, and goes up and down stairs, holes, ladders and teleports after them. Target and Attack keep killing monsters while you follow, but never farther than your distance from the leader. Made for a healer or a mage hunting behind a knight.

Stairs and teleports

Follows the leader up and down stairs, ramps, holes, ladders and teleports. It cannot follow rope spots, levitate or magic rope: do those by hand, and turn on Alarms → Leader lost to be warned.
The Hunt Follow module: who to follow, the players on screen and the distance you keep.

How to turn it on

  1. 1Join the leader’s party in the game (recommended), or just know the exact name of the player you want to follow.
  2. 2Click Bot, then ⤢ (All settings) and pick Hunt Follow in the list.
  3. 3Choose Party leader, or By name: type the name and click Follow, or click Follow next to the player in “On screen now”.
  4. 4Set the distance (3 is good for a healer or a mage).
  5. 5Set up Target and Attack as you like and turn them on: they keep hunting while you follow.
  6. 6Turn Hunt Follow on with its switch. The Cavebot waits while it runs.

Settings, one by one

Who to follow

1

Party leader

Follows whoever leads your party (the player with the leader shield). If the leadership passes to someone else, it follows the new leader.

Values: Default. You must be in the party.

ExampleParty leader

2

By name

Follows this player, in or out of your party. Type the exact name and click Follow (or press Enter).

Values: Up to 30 letters.

ExampleKnight Bob

3

On screen now

The players you see, nearest first, with level, vocation, distance and a party tag. Click Follow on a row to follow that player.

Values: Only who is on your screen right now.

ExampleKnight Bob · Lv 80 · Knight · 3 sqm · Party leader · Follow

Distance

4

Stay within … sqm of the leader

The bot walks only when the leader is farther than this, and stops as soon as it is close again. Target never takes you farther than this from the leader either: a mage or a paladin shoots from where they stand, and a knight only hits the monsters it can reach without leaving this distance.

Values: 1 to 5. Default: 3. Melee 1–2, mage or paladin 3–4.

Example3

Stairs and teleports

What it follows

When the leader goes up or down stairs, a ramp, a hole or a ladder, or steps into a teleport, the bot walks to the same spot and goes after them.

Values: Automatic.

ExampleThe leader goes down a hole → you go down the same hole

What it does not follow

Rope spots, levitate (exani hur) and magic rope (exani tera). The bot stays where it is and the page says “follow by hand”.

Values: Turn on Alarms → Leader lost to be warned.

ExampleLeader went to another floor by rope or spell: follow by hand

Ready example — a druid healing a knight

  • Join the knight’s party.
  • Hunt Follow: Party leader, distance 3.
  • Heal Friends: add the knight’s name. Target: Stand. Attack: your runes.
  • Turn on Healing, Heal Friends, Target, Attack and Hunt Follow: the druid walks 3 squares behind the knight, heals and shoots, and takes the same stairs.

Be in the leader’s party: party members count as friends for Attack’s “PvP safe”, Target’s No KS and PvP. A leader outside your party also sets off the Player on screen alarm.

The Cavebot waits while Hunt Follow is on, and Hunt Follow waits while Training runs or while PvP is fighting a player.

Alarms → “Leader lost” warns you when the leader has not been seen (or went up by rope) for a while.
